There is a new danger to the lives of farmers, agriculturists, and gardeners. Every day they use fertilizers and herbicides to do their work and to do what they love. However, it’s this very material that is now threatening their lives. After using Monsanto’s Roundup Weed Killer, many people have been diagnosed with cancer. Because of this, there are many litigations against Monsanto.
Monsanto Causing Cancer
Many farmers, agriculturists, gardeners, and workers have filed suits against Monsanto after using their Roundup Weed Killer. Many were diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma b-cell lymphoma, leukemia, or other forms of cancer after using the very popular product. Monsanto’s products gained popularity when the company introduced seeds for genetically modified organisms (GMO) that were resistant to glyphosate. This allowed farmers to spray the product everywhere and their crops weren’t killed.
Although this was very appealing to farmers, it ended up causing blood cancers such as mantle cell lymphoma, hairy cell leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, follicular B-cell lymphoma, and many more claimed in Roundup lawsuits.
Lawsuits Filed Against Monsanto
Thousands have suffered blood cancers after using Roundup, leading to countless lawsuits being filed against them. Monsanto claimed the product was safe for use, but there was a Roundup class-action lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court against Monsanto because it was falsely advertised that the Roundup products were safe to use. The class-action suit also claimed Monsanto falsified documents deliberately and hid the fact that glyphosate is not only dangerous to humans but also to environmental health.
Tor Fund and Monsanto Lawsuits
Monsanto is a large corporation with a lineup of attorneys, funds, and resources to counter every claim filed against them. It is because of this that attorney’s and victims require funding to help make a case against them. Tort Fund gives attorneys the help and funding they need to win litigations. Most importantly, they support attorneys in Bayer/Monsanto litigations. They are currently giving attorney’s and clients the funding they need to win their cases against the corporation.
